Greenville,
North Carolina is the economic and cultural hub for the
eastern part of the state of NC. Known as the 'Gateway
to Eastern North Carolina,’ Greenville

Interstate 95 in North Carolina's Coastal

County. The 2000 Census reported the population as just
over 60,000 and still growing. Pitt County's population has
risen almost 25% in the past decade.

Grady White Boats, have moved into the area, providing

upscale retail stores and restaurants have settled in
Greenville, allowing even more prosperity and economic
diversity.

East Carolina University calls Greenville home, and is
considered one of the finest educational, medical and
cultural centers in the state. Their theatrical,
musical
and art departments continue to draw students as well as
audiences to their many cultural performances. Greenville
Convention Center, newly opened in 2002, is a 32-acre
campus that hosts everything from national conferences and
trade shows, to family reunions and banquets.
Uptown
Greenville is a grass-roots association dedicated to
revitalizing and keeping a watchful eye on the downtown area
growth. Greenville residents know that they have the best of
both worlds. Greenville has all the conveniences and culture
of a large metropolitan city while still retaining its
