The Greensboro and Guilford County school systems are ranked in the top 4th of the nation. Very progressive and specialized schools are found within the county and there are over 30 private schools. Greensboro College, Guilford College, Bennett College, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and the University of North Carolina are all found within the city of Greensboro.

Since it is home to more than 41,000 college students, Greensboro's nightlife is diverse and varied.
