This project is a two story, steel framed structure. It has 104,830 square feet and contains the 280-seat Beckwith Recital Hall, The Black Box Theater, dance studio, as well as classroom and instructional facilities. In addition, the building houses the university’s art and art history program as well as on onsite art gallery. One of the most unique features of the building are the complex “off square” construction techniques utilized to construct the interior of the building. All interior walls were placed in such a manner as to maximize the acoustical performance of the structure.
